Tramway Carry

06 July, late in the day

Log Tramway

Wanting to make it to Eagle Lake, decided to keep traveling after eating dinner.  Next stop, Tramway Carry.  The carry itself is not hard, and the environment is interesting.  Years ago, the logging industry set up a tramway, small railroad, and more to move logs between Eagle Lake and Chamberlain Lake.  Remains of both can be seen along this portage.  As will be seen in a later posting, these technological innovations and related investments were to be outdated soon after being built.  The remains are there for visitors to examine.
