...at a small guesthouse, using the excellent and efficient public transportation system for all of our travels in the city. After visiting many of the neighborhoods, we still feel that the Northwest section of the city suits us best. 
Many friends are already living in Portland, and we made several new friends while here for the month. To summarize Portland: friendly people, excellent outdoor activities available, huge "Forest Park" in the middle of the city, excellent food, beer, and wines (all locally produced). What's not to like? Thanks to all the people who showed us such hospitality in Oregon!!Mark & Pat
