This evening I attended my High School's 35th year reunion. It was a small group of about 25 people I had not seen since graduation day. My Alma Mater is a Vocational-Technical High School (my major - Electronics Technology). It was fun to pull up memories of what happened during those days. We all had long hair and looked (much) younger in the year book. Imagine that! More interesting was what people had done with their lives. One is a Police Chief, another retired from the USA Navy (he had been shipped out to drive PT boats in the Mekong during the final month of the Vietnam war), and many had bought local businesses which they still run. Ricky had made the efforts to bring people together - quite a feat as there was no email when we graduated and most of our home addresses changed. Only classmates.com makes the task easier. OK, Facebook helps too. Al (who together with Herbie were the only two people who "hadn't changed") brought his band and played music from the early 70's with targeted jokes and comments between the songs. It will be interesting to see if for the 40th a larger group will get together. Great to meet everyone, and a huge thank you to Al and Ricky!
