On Christmas Eve we departed Beijing to head home. A plane change in Chicago turned into an overnight stay due to a snow storm & cancelled flights. We both enjoy this northern "Windy City" so after checking into the airport hotel we found the last Jazz-Blues club open during the holiday. 
Off to the Kingston Mines (www.kingstonmines.com). Two rooms, two stages, two bands. Mainly tourists in attendance and the normally packed venue still had prime seats available. Check out the music on their website... and that was Christmas Eve 2008!
